THE GAME

The game revolves around The Prisoner's Dilemma, a game theory-related thought experiment. In summary, two players choose a Stance towards each other - the Passive stance is better diplomatically, but opens the player to being betrayed, while the Agressive Stance grants more points but costs an action and creates resentment.

The problem can be represented by this image:

In order to predict the opponent's actions, the player has an array of different actions to investigate and manipulate them.

THE MOVES

Every player has 3 Actions per round, and can perform the following actions:

-Battle: take the Agressive stance against another character.
-Investigation: get more information on another character.
-Influence: change a player's position on the Throne Track.
-Diplomacy: send messages to other players.
-Forgery: modify received letters.

Additionally, the player also has access to an extensive manual with detailed profiles on every aspect of a character's AI, which can be read at any time. The player may also participate in the Imperial Council, which takes place at the beginning of every turn and costs no actions.

Further details about each action are available in the aforementioned manual in-game.
